Vine Variety: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo

Planted date: 1959 - 1975

Soil type: Loam; deeper soils with a higher presence of sand and clay in the lowers slopes towards the Greve River and shallower, silty, and rocky soils, in particular, “galestro”, on the higher grounds.

Cultivation system: Cordone speronato, Tuscan gobelet and Guyot for the Sangiovese; Guyot for the Canaiolo

Harvest: Manual, September/October

Vinification and refining: Stainless steel tanks and cement, separated by vineyard block. Maceration period 12 - 18 with 8 days of alcoholic fermentation with a maximum temperature of 29°. Aged for 20 months in wood casks and final blending in cement vats. Bottle Aged for a minimum of 3 months.
