BACKGROUND

Over a century ago, in 1890, the Senator of the Kingdom of Italy Pompeo Molmenti, worked to deepen the knowledge of the territory and its viticulture using the collaboration of French agronomists. He assessed the characteristics of the land, the climate and the Groppello, the native vine. On the basis of the research made, he sensed that rosé, better than other types of wine, could express the characteristics of this land. He then codified, first in Italy, the production process of rosé, calling it Chiaretto. In 1967, the area was recognized for the first time the Denomination of Controlled Origin.

The WINE

“Cooled and washed to reduce oxidation and contamination, the grapes are cold pressed in the absence of oxygen. The maceration time is carefully calculated in order to obtain the desired shade of color and the desired scent. Batonato on pre-fermentation roasters and on post fermentation yeasts, it is aged exclusively in steel tanks.”

“The cherry tree ("serese" in the local dialect) lends itself well to evoking spring; season of perfumes, freshness, liveliness and awakening of the senses. Sensations and emotions that a glass of Serése will continue to offer throughout the year.
